The microschool market is one of the most up-and-coming markets in education. And, with the right marketing strategy, your microschool can thrive!
We’ve listed a few tips below, but also check out our podcast episode with an incredibly successful microschool in Florida:
Know your audience
The first step to marketing your microschool is understanding who your target audience is. What are their needs and wants? What are their pain points? Once you know this, you can tailor your marketing strategy to appeal to them.
Define your brand
Your microschool’s brand is what sets you apart from the rest. What is your mission? What are your values? What does your school offer that others don’t? Once you have a clear brand, you can start to build your marketing strategy around it.
Use social media
Social media is a powerful tool that can help you reach your target audience. Use it to post updates about your school, share blog posts and connect with potential students and parents. Different platforms have slightly different audiences, so be sure to tailor your content and don’t auto-post the same content to each platform!
For example, many parents use Facebook to keep up with news in a school, but new parents may be checking you out on Instagram. If your school has older students, many are likely on TikTok. These are three distinct audiences with three distinct purposes for checking out your social content.
Invest in SEO
SEO is important for any website, but it’s especially important for microschools. Make sure your website is optimized for the right keywords so that people can find you when they’re searching for schools like yours.
If you can’t afford to hire a digital marketing firm, invest in a tool such as Ubersuggest (it’s what we use at our agency) that will run SEO audits and make suggestions to best optimize your site.
Get involved in your community
One of the best ways to market your microschool is to get involved in your local community. Attend community events, sponsor local teams and get involved in local charities. This will help raise awareness about your school and make you top-of-mind when people are looking for schools.
With these marketing tips, you’ll be well on your way to success in the microschool market!
